The famous composer Nelly Hackel, who lives in Israel, take a business visit to our academy. She donated 21 volumes of her works written to the words of A.S. Pushkin, Janis Rainis, Aspazija and contemporary Russian poets in Latvia.
Handing over collections containing more than five hundred songs and romances, the composer sincerely thanked the Baltic International Academy, which has always helped her in the implementation of creative projects, in holding concerts and competitions for young performers “New Horizons” at BIA.
Natalya Gratkovskaya, director of the Central Scientific Library of BIA, accepting the generous gift, noted that it would find a worthy use for acquainting students with contemporary music and poetry.
On behalf of the Latvian poets who came to meet their favorite composer, the Vice-President of the International Writers’ Association Petr Antropov thanked Nelly Hackel for her great contribution to the popularization of poetry and wished her new creative success.
