The literature evening “Dostoevsky and Modernity”, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the famous Russian writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, received positive feedback from teachers, students and guests of our academy. It was organized by the Russian Social and Cultural Society of Latvia and the Russian Center of the Baltic International Academy in compliance with anti-COVID requirements.
The head of this center, BIA professor Oksana Filina made a presentation on the life path and work of the writer and introduced the speaker, writer and poet Vyacheslav Evgenyevich Altukhov. His informative and polemical report prompted the audience to take a fresh look at the work of F.M. Dostoevsky and his forecasts for the development of historical and social processes.
Attache of the Russian Embassy in Latvia Elena Yursheva took part in the literary evening.
