On July 1, a new crucial stage in the work of the Admissions Committee began at BIA. They began accepting documents for the 2021/2022 year of study from high school students who completed their studies this summer. Together with them apply, those applicants who have received education earlier. They have a wide choice – bachelor’s and master’s programs in 28 professions, which will be taught in Latvian and English.
By July, the Admissions Committee had already received 167 applications, including from foreigners from 19 countries. Among them there are close countries – Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and distant ones – Kenya, Nigeria, USA, Ghana.
As the head of the BIA Admissions Committee Marina Lihushina explains, this academic year, due to covid, the admission of applicants is carried out by appointment. And the applicants themselves are increasingly using the possibilities of submitting documents in the on-line format, since the conditions of admission and all the necessary documents are well presented on the academy’s website bsa.edu.lv in the section for applicants in Latvian, English, Russian. It is enough to click on the entry “Apply for training electronically”, which is highlighted in blue.

Applicants will undoubtedly be pleased that the amount of tuition fees at BIA this academic year has been kept at the level of last year. Special BIA scholarships for the most gifted applicants have also been preserved. Discounts have been established both for students with high grades in their studies and for the winners of competitions held for high school students by our Baltic International Academy.
