This new concept “student mobility” is increasingly entering the students’ lexicon. It means that a student can expand his or her knowledge in foreign higher education institutions during courses, seminars, winter and summer schools within the framework of the BIP programme (Blended Intensive Programme). Vladimir Glavinsky, a fourth-year student of the bachelor study programme “Financial Management” of our Baltic International Academy, successfully got acquainted with the advantages of this mobility in November.
Under the ERASMUS+ international exchange programme, he took part in a week-long BIP student mobility event at the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences (TTK University of Applied Sciences). This project, called “Mathematical Solution of Sustainable Development Problems”, was devoted to studying mathematical methods for solving economic tasks. About fifty students from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic took part in it.
As Vladimir Glavinsky noted after this mobile event, participation in this project opened new opportunities for him in the application of mathematical methods in solving scientific problems and conducting statistical analyses. Prominent specialists acquainted students with topical aspects of using applied mathematics in solving complex analytical tasks.
Zhanna Chernoshtan, director of the programme “Financial Management”, Assistant Professor of the BIA, also positively assessed Vladimir’s participation in the project. She noted that he worthily represented our Baltic International Academy among its participants.
