Following a good tradition at our Baltic International Academy, graduation ceremonies are held both in summer and in winter. This year, the winter graduation ceremony took place on January 16. This day will remain in the memory of Anderson Fomunyuy Maikem from Cameroon, Otabek Kholmuminov from Uzbekistan, Elvita Eglite from Latvia and other BIA graduates of 2025 for a long time. The national anthem of Latvia was played in the assembly hall in their honour, bouquets of flowers, warm congratulations and wishes pleased their hearts.
To much applause, Vice-Rector for Science of the BIA Vladislav Volkov, Professor Zhanna Tsaurkubule, Assistant Professor Emma Arkhangelska presented the long-awaited diplomas of the Baltic International Academy to the graduates of the programme “Translation and Interpreting”, the study field “Hotel and restaurant service, tourism and recreation organization”. They cordially congratulated the new bachelors and masters on the successful completion of their studies and wished them to justify the title of graduates of the Baltic International Academy.
The President of the Student Parliament Baiba Grigoryeva, lecturers Zhanna Daragane, Alona Rogale-Homika, the head of the travel company “Nikos Travel” Elena Serebryakova addressed the heroes of the occasion with kind words of farewell. They expressed confidence that the knowledge acquired by the graduates at the Baltic International Academy is a basis of their successful professional development.
The responses from the graduates were also warm. Thus, a graduate of the programme “Translation and Interpreting” Elvita Eglite warmly thanked the lecturers and emphasized that the academy not only gave her a profession in demand, but also awakened in her an interest in self-improvement.
At the end of the ceremony, the student anthem “Gaudeamus” was played, which was complemented by the salute with bachelor’s and master’s caps.
