During their acquaintance with the capital of Latvia, a group of gymnasiasts from Bratislava, who are studying at the famous Slavic Gymnasium, visited our Baltic International Academy. Assistant Professor of the BIA Emma Arhangelska has long-existing friendly relations with this educational institution and its lecturers. She warmly welcomed the guests from Bratislava and acquainted them with the study base and teaching staff of the academy.
The gymnasiasts from Slovakia learned a lot of interesting and useful information from the conversation with the head of the BIA Admission Committee Marina Lihushina. She introduced the inquisitive guests to the history, features of the academy, admission rules and presented them with souvenirs. The gymnasiasts warmly thanked Marina Lihushina and left their wishes in Slovak on the autograph board of the BIA applicants.
The students from Bratislava were very interested in the museum of the famous poet, bard and artist Vladimir Vysotsky, who is well known in European countries as well. Assistant Professor of the BIA Lyubov Kashirina, who acquainted the guests with the exposition of the museum, reminded that in the seventies he performed his songs twice in the current assembly hall of the academy.
As Ekaterina Borisova, a lecturer at the Slavic Gymnasium, noted at the end of the visit, her students were impressed by the Academy. They were especially touched by the friendly atmosphere at the academy and the students’ interest in learning foreign languages.
