“SPRING OF FLOWERS” at the BIArt gallery

“Spring of Flowers” – this is the name of a bright and picturesque international exhibition that opened on the eve of the International Women’s Day in the BIArt gallery of our Baltic International Academy. This is a kind of gift to the women of Riga from artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and Estonia. 70 amazing flowers born of nature and the fantasy of artists are presented at it. Accordingly, their names are familiar and imaginative – “Tenderness”, “Pianissimo”, “Star of the Podium”.

- Even I was pleased and surprised by the works of our artists, – noted Valentin Danilenko, curator of the exhibition and member of the Union of Artists of Latvia when opening the exhibition. They discovered some new pleasing features in the works of such masters of painting as Lyudmila Perets, Valery Makovoy, Maria Matveyeva, Irina Trumpel (Latvia), Igor Gushchin (Kazakhstan), Silvia Adomavicene (Lithuania), Hillar Mand (Estonia).

According to the organiser and curator of the exhibition, the viewers will also be pleased with the paintings of newcomers – Ilona Shargova, Irina Anichka-Lapatneva, graduate of the BIA Yulia Demenkova. And the viewers themselves have already pleased the famous artist Valery Makovoy. They awarded his works the audience award.
