Career day for secondary school students

Following a good tradition, Riga Secondary School №88 holds a Career Day in spring. Members of teaching staff from leading higher education institutions in Latvia are invited to it. Representatives of our Baltic International Academy are always among them. This spring, the BIA was represented by the heads of the study programmes “Finance”, “European Economics and Business”, “Entrepreneurship Management” assistant professors Zanna Cernostana, Julia Mahmudova and the head of the Admission Committee of the academy Marina Lihushina.

They told the high school students about the peculiarities of our academy, introduced them to the study programmes, admission rules and answered numerous questions. In a business-friendly atmosphere, an informal and useful conversation took place about the choice of professions in demand nowadays.

As Karina Savelyeva, the school career consultant noted, the meeting and discussions with representatives of our academy and other higher education institutions will undoubtedly be useful for secondary school students. They expanded their understanding of the peculiarities of modern professions, their role in the formation and development of a career.
