The application for the Latvian state scholarships for Ukrainian students and researchers 2023 for the autumn semester of 2023/24 is open.
The State Education Development Agency will accept applications for these scholarships until September 15, 2023, at 5:00 pm.
We will therefore be expecting applications from you by September 5, 2023, at 18:00.

Scholarships amount remain unchanged:
- Study grant – 140 euros per month. Eligibility period: 01.09.2023. – 31.12.2023;
- Research grant – 900 euros per month. Eligibility period: 01.01.2023. – 31.12.2023.
You can apply for scholarships if you are:
- Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status in Latvia, who are studying at Latvian HEIs in 2023 and are not eligible to apply for Erasmus+ support;
- Primarily first-year students at all levels of study (bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D.);
- Students who are ineligible to apply for an Erasmus+ grant because they have already used the maximum 12 months of Erasmus+ funding in one study cycle;
- Students who are not eligible to apply for an Erasmus+ grant because are enrolled as fee-paying students;
- Ukrainian scientists and researchers with temporary protection status in Latvia who carried out scientific or academic work in Ukraine before the war and whose scientific profile is too diverse to be eligible for NRPs, FLPs, or other projects implemented by a scientific institution.
