Latvian state scholarships for Ukrainian students and researchers 2023
We would like to inform you that the application for state scholarships for Ukrainian students and researchers 2023 has started. We will be waiting for the applications until March 15, 2023 17:00. You will find the updated application forms and the new regulations by the link: https://www.viaa.gov.lv/lv/stipendijas-ukrainas-civiliedzivotajiem.
Scholarship amount remain unchanged:
- Study grant – 140 EUR per month. Eligibility period: 01.01.2023. – 30.06.2023 and 01.09.2023. – 31.12.2023;
- Research grant – 900 EUR per month. Eligibility period: 01.01.2023. – 31.12.2023.
You can apply for scholarships if you are:
- Civilians of Ukraine (status - Temporary protection in Latvia) who are studying at Latvian HEIs in 2023 and are not allowed to apply for Erasmus+ support:
- primarily first-year students at all study levels (bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies);
- students, who are not allowed to apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship, since they have already used the maximum Erasmus+ support for 12 months in one study cycle;
- students, who are not allowed to apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship, since they have enrolled for fee-paying
- Ukrainian scientific staff (status - Temporary protection in Latvia), who performed scientific or academic work in Ukraine before the war.
