The deadline for applications for Latvian scholarships for Ukrainian civilians has been extended

The Latvian State provides you with the opportunity to apply for scholarships for study and research to ensure the right of Ukrainian citizens to continue their higher education or scientific activities interrupted in Ukraine.

Scholarship amounts

  • the scholarship for studies is EUR 140 per month. Eligibility period: 16.09.2022 - 31.12.2022.
  • the scholarship for research is EUR 900 per month. Eligibility period: 16.09.2022 - 31.12.2022.

The following persons may apply for scholarships:

  • Ukrainian civilians who are starting their first-year studies at Latvian higher educational institutions in autumn 2022 and who are not eligible for Erasmus+ support.
  • Ukrainian researchers (scientists) who carried out scientific or academic work in Ukraine before the war and whose scientific profile is too different to be involved in any projects implemented by a scientific institution.
