The another meeting of friends of the Vladimir Vysotsky Museum of our Baltic International Academy was dedicated to a pleasant event. The family of Musaelyans, inhabitants of Riga, decided to donate to the museum a unique collection of phonograph records with recordings of songs performed by Vladimir Vysotsky and asked the chairman of the Armenian Community of Riga, writer, friend of our academy Alexander Geronyan to present this New Year’s gift.
He thoroughly presented the collection, which includes 23 large vinyl records containing more than four hundred popular songs and reminded that a number of them were recorded at the Riga Record Factory of the company “Melodiya” (“Melody”).
The coordinator of the Vladimir Vysotsky Museum, Assistant Professor of the BIA Lyubov Kashirina, when accepting the collection, cordially thanked the unselfish presenters and noted that now the museum’s exposition will not only show Vladimir Vysotsky, but also sing in his voice.
The participants of the commemorative meeting could also be convinced of this, since they were able to listen to a number of songs by the famous poet and bard using a record player, which was donated to the museum by the poetess Larisa Plotniece. The emotive songs of Vysotsky were well complemented by the performances of Riga bards Yuri Kulamov, Vladimir Novikov, Yuri Tikhomirov and poets Ivan Kuntsevich, Iraida Kelmelene, Larisa Plotniece.
