Guest lectures by teaching staff of our Baltic International Academy at foreign universities under the ERASMUS+ international exchange programme have become a regular occurrence. This year, BIA lecturers have already delivered lectures at universities in Poland, Lithuania, Turkey, Georgia and Romania. And in October, one of the largest universities in Croatia, the University of Sveučilište u Splitu in Split, joined them.
A series of informative lectures on banking risk management at the Faculty of Professional Education was delivered by Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Baltic International Academy Alexander Masharsky. The students of the Croatian University met them with interest.
A guest lecturer from the BIA also positively evaluated his listeners. After returning to the Academy, he noted that the Croatian students demonstrated a good knowledge of the basics of accounting and finance and a lively interest in Latvia’s experience in this area.
As noted by the lecturer of the University of Sveučilište u Splitu, business consultant Stjepan Laca, the informative lectures by Professor Alexander Masharsky significantly expanded the understanding of the financial market in the countries of the European Union.
