Workshop by an Art manager from Italy

A great interest among students of the programme “Computer Design” of our Baltic International Academy was aroused by the informative workshop, which was held for them by the well-known art manager from Italy, a member of the Italian cultural association “Travelling Art Gallery” Dr.ssa Victoria Petrova. Using specific examples, she showed how artistic cultural and historical heritage is used to promote tourist attractions in Italy. Under her guidance, the BIA students developed a project of the programme for conducting an internship for artists and designers.

The head of the study field “Art”, assistant professor of the BIA Mikhail Kopeikin, when welcoming the guest lecturer from Italy, noted that our academy has developed fruitful creative ties with Italian masters of fine art. Last summer, the BIA students visited the Urbino Academy of Fine Arts, the Raphael Santi Museum, and took part in a number of workshops as part of the UrbinolAcquerello art symposium. And the workshop within the walls of the Baltic International Academy will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the development of professional skills of future Latvian designers.
