The BIArt gallery of the Baltic International Academy has achieved new success. It organised the international exhibition “WORLD OF COLOURS”, which brought together under one roof 160 artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, the USA, Ukraine, Estonia, who presented to art lovers about two hundred paintings of various themes, colours and artistic styles. This is the largest exhibition of paintings at the art galleries of Riga.
Several art studios helped the curator, member of the Union of Artists of Latvia Valentin Danilenko to organise the exhibition. These are art studios of Irina Trumpele, Valery Makovyi, Maria Matveyeva, Alexander Pakhomov, Maria Abduyeva, Elena Lvova, Olga Evseyeva and Lithuanian artists from Šiauliai.
They submitted the works of their best students to the exhibition, and therefore there are many interesting debutants. Among them are Yulia Aleksere, Oleg Tregubov, Margarita Lepina, Alexander Shunin, Edgar Shmitenberg, Veronika Golovoznina. Their paintings have already received positive feedback from viewers.
Renowned artists also delighted viewers with their new works – Vladimir Pavlov, Edgar Mikelson, Valery Makovoy, Alyona Savyuk, Irina Trumpele, Maria Matveyeva, Lidiya Drozdova, Mary Zhang and many others. Three intriguing paintings by Valentin Danilenko, created in an abstract manner, fit seamlessly into the exposition. And Maria Abduyeva proudly presented her paintings and the works of her young daughters Aisha and Ariana.
As the Chairman of the Senate of our Academy Stanislav Buka noted when opening the exhibition, it fully lives up to its name in every respect. It really presents all the colours of the world, which bring joy and optimism. It combines well the works of young talents and people of silver age.
Artists Vladimir Pavlov, Maria Matveyeva, Alexander Semyonov, Maria Abduyeva expressed kind words of gratitude to the BIArt gallery and the Baltic International Academy for organising such a representative exhibition. And civil engineer Sergey Yakovlev presented the curator of the exhibition Valentin Danilenko with a special prize for his creative approach to organising and holding exhibitions at the BIArt gallery.
The exhibition is open on three floors of the BIA educational building at 1/4 Valerijas Seiles Street and is available free of charge until July 15 during the working hours of the academy.
