The ERASMUS+ programme stimulates the exchange of experience

The exchange of guest lectures by foreign lecturers, as well as experiences in organising the study process and study internships within the framework of the ERASMUS+ International exchange programme, has become a regular occurrence at our Baltic International Academy. The BIA already has over 150 cooperation agreements with foreign higher education institutions. International specialists are always welcome guests at our academy. This year alone, lecturers from universities in Italy, Turkey, Finland, and Poland delivered guest lectures for BIA students. And in November, guests from Germany were added to this list.

As part of the ERASMUS+ programme, our academy was visited by Katrin Heymann, Head of the Student Affairs Department, and Professor Suzanne Hannemann from the Bochum University of Applied Sciences. The guests were interested in the organisation of the study process at our academy and the opportunities offered by the ERASMUS+ International student and staff exchange programme. They had a detailed discussion on this topic with ERASMUS+ programme coordinator at BIA Viktorija Petlak, and the head of the study programmes Julija Mahmudova.

At the end of their visit, the guests from Germany noted that both higher education institutions have good prospects for fruitful student and staff exchange.
