Winter intake at the academy

Our Baltic International Academy has a good tradition of organising winter intake. It allows applicants, both from Latvia and abroad, who for various reasons were unable to enroll at the BIA at the beginning of the academic year, to catch up. They can enroll in any of the academy’s accredited programmes in winter.

We asked Marina Lihushina, Head of the BIA Admissions Committee, to tell us about the winter intake process this academic year.

– As always, international applicants are the most active, she noted. – Their document-processing period is longer, and they began sending applications already in October. By the beginning of December, we had received about two hundred applications from applicants from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Greece, Uzbekistan and other countries.

On December 1, we also began accepting applications from residents of Latvia. We have well-established communication with them. We communicate with every applicant personally and provide comprehensive consultations on admission rules and tuition fees, which remain the same as for the autumn intake.

The winter intake for international students will last until December 15, and for residents of Latvia until February 1. I would like to remind everyone that detailed admission requirements can be found on the academy’s website bsa.edu.lv in the section “Admission”. Required documents can also be sent to the Admissions Committee in scanned form to: This email address is being protected from spambots.
