Fruitful conference of psychologists

A methodical and practical conference of practicing psychologists of Latvia on the topic “Searching for Optimal Solutions for Psychologists in Various Fields to Overcome Professional Challenges” was held in a productive and business-like atmosphere at the Baltic International Academy.

It was organised by the Latvian Federation of Psychologist Associations and the Latvian Association of Professional Psychologists, which unites Latvian psychologists according to professional and academic criteria. Certified psychologists and assistant professors of the BIA Vera Krievina and Viktorija Petlak, as well as the academy’s technical services, provided the necessary assistance in holding the conference.

When opening the conference, Evelina Muze, the Chair of the Latvian Federation of Psychologist Associations and the Latvian Association of Professional Psychologists, noted that in recent years, the role of psychology has significantly increased in all areas of our lives, from medicine to education, from business to everyday communication. This requires psychologists to constantly expand their knowledge and improve their professional skills.

In her opinion, this conference is a worthy venue for discussing topical issues in modern psychology and engaging in creative discussions on these topics.

The discussions began with a comprehensive report by Rita Niedre, Chair of the Psychologists’ Certification Council. The discussions then continued in creative workshops, where 15 recognized specialists in the field of psychology delivered presentations and reports.
