Young artists’ vernissage at the BIArt gallery

Our BIArt gallery presented a wonderful gift to young artists. Just before the beginning of the new academic year, it organised a large exhibition of drawings by young talents aged four to 16 at  the Baltic International Academy. A significant contribution to its organisation was made by the art studios of Maria Abduyeva, Elena Lvova, Maria Matveyeva and the societies “Ukrainas māja” and “Līdumnieki”.

About one and a half hundred amazing, original and sometimes amusing works of young artists are presented at the exhibition. And this exhibition immediately won the hearts of visitors. One of them enthusiastically wrote in the guestbook: “Beautiful, bright, emotional!”.

When opening the exhibition, its curator, member of the Artists’ Union of Latvia Valentin Danilenko, rightly noted that this is not an ordinary event in the life of the gallery. Such a representative exhibition of works by young talents is organised for the first time. It provides them with a good opportunity to show their creations, compare them with the works of their peers and even gain useful experience.

Here they could personally get acquainted with Aisha Abduyeva, who three years ago, at the age of eight, was honoured to hold her first personal exhibition, which received many positive reviews. And at the current exhibition, her works were awarded the audience choice award. The works by Elizaveta Shevchenko, Elena Kapitsa and Ekaterina Machulskaya received the same award.

The well-known Latvian artist Maria Abduyeva, in whose studio Aisha and her sister Ariana Abduyeva took their first steps into the world of art, cordially thanked Valentin Danilenko and the Baltic International Academy for organising the exhibition of young artists and noted that this vernissage will remain in their memory for a long time and will inspire them to new creations.

The exhibition is located in the BIA academic building at 1/4 Valerijas Seiles Street and will be open until the end of September, entry is free during the academy’s working hours.
