International research-to-practice conference “Society Transformations in Social and Human Sciences”

On December 9-10, our academy hosted the 11th International Research-to-Practice Conference “Society Transformations in Social and Human Sciences”.

The conference was organised by Baltic International Academy (Latvia), Daugavpils University (Latvia), College of Accounting and Finance (Latvia), V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine), Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (Ukraine), Research Centre of Industrial Problems of Development of NAS of Ukraine, Panevezys University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania), Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (Ukraine), Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities (Poland), University of Oradea (Romania), Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuania).

120 scientific reports were prepared for discussion within the framework of the conference. They were presented face-to-face and online.

When opening the conference, BIA Vice-Rector for Science, associate professor Vladislav Volkov noted that the popularity of the international scientific conference in Riga is steadily growing, and the topics of speeches are becoming more diverse and topical.

At the plenary session of the conference, informative reports were presented by associate professor of the Baltic International Academy, Doctor of Law Tatyana Yurkevich, associate professor of the BIA, Doctor of Psychology Gershon Breslav, associate professor of Panevėžio kolegija (University of Applied Sciences), Doctor of Economics Diana Micevičienė, professor of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (Ukraine), Doctor of Economics Nadia Proskurnina, associate professor of Izmir Kâtip Celebi University (Turkey), Dr. Şaban Çelik.

The most reports were presented in following sections: legal science; digital economics, finance and entrepreneurship; topical issues of psychology: theory and practice; inclusion solutions in translation, pedagogy and social work; regional policy, European studies. Conference participants will receive certificates of participation in the conference.

A roundtable on the topic “The problem of political and psychological adaptation of migrants in EU countries” was held within the framework of the conference.

All conference materials will be published in electronic form on the BIA website under the heading “Main publications”.
