The Memorial Day of the famous Latvian folklorist, literary critic, historian and teacher Boris Infantiev, timed to coincide with the 101-st anniversary of his birth, went warmly and cordially this year. It was attended by his daughter Agnia Kentele, scientists, historians, poets, writers, and representatives of the Baltic International Academy.
The focus of their attention was the advance copy of Infantiev’s book entitled "Russian-Latvian Literary Relations". It summarizes his thoughts about the development and interaction of the Latvian and Russian cultures. Natalia Gratkovskaya, head of the BIA Central Scientific Library, edited this book, which was published by the Latvian Old Believer Society with the support of the Latvian Orthodox Church and the Baltic International Academy.
Chairman of the Old Believer Society of Latvia Illarion Ivanov, Doctor of Historical Sciences Tatiana Feigmane, BIA professor Oksana Filina, bibliophile and publicist Anatoly Rakityansky, cultural historian Boris Ravdin and other participants took an active part in the discussion of the advance copy. At the end of the discussion, Illarion Ivanov gave to BIA professor Oksana Filina an advanced copy of the book for the Central Scientific Library of the Academy.
