"Simply winter" is the new personal exhibition of Aliona Savyuk in the BiArt students’ gallery. Eng. “Simple” is just a name. But the paintings presented at the exhibition surprise and make thinking. There are presented amazing Latvian landscapes, painted in Chinese or Japanese style on the rice paper.
“Aliona is the real master of her craft”, - notes the curator of the gallery, a member of the Union of Artists of Latvia – Valentin Danilenko. “She studied eastern painting, a traditional Chinese landscape at the Liaoning University in the city of Anisan, and had internships with famous masters of oriental painting. Laconicism, harmony, and symbolism of her work is difficult to neglect.
Aliona Savyuk is well known in Latvia and as a philanthropist. She is one of the initiators of the charity project “From Heart to the Soul” within the framework of which, in two years, about five hundred paintings were donated to the House of Elderly.
