Digital Business and Finance: Managing for Tomorrow

Rapid technological developments cause significant changes in micro and macroeconomic levels. At present, digitalization of professions has become a necessity rather than a choice and those who do not respect technological changes will disappear from the market, becoming history. Digital competencies are one of the basic technical skills required by HEIs` graduates in any fields today.

Target Group

Our Summer School is designed for the motivated students enrolled in a Bachelor Program,  who want to understand and critically analyse the digital transformation strategies in the fast and dynamically changing environment. The knowledge and skills that the students will learn in this module is relevant to students of all disciplines as almost all organizations are impacted by the digital transformations.

Content

The course combines a theoretical and practical approach including interactive lectures, group assignments, company visits and meetings with  IT industry experts. A wide range of topics such as digital innovation, digital technologies as tools for building businesses, cybersecurity, data-driven marketing, data-intensive business and AI ethics will be discussed.

ERASMUS + short-term mobility

The Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027 introduces short-term mobility as alternative international mobility for students and academic staff. In June 2023, the Baltic International academy organizes 4,5 ECTS "International Summer School on Digital Business and Finance: Managing for Tomorrow" (minimum 5 days+1day online) for students and academic staff.

Credits info

Participants can receive the following certificates:

- Certificate of Attendance: awarded after the summer school to all participants.
- Transcript of Records (with 4,5  ECTS credits and grades): awarded only to participants who complete all course requirements and pass the final examination. Acceptance of transfer credit is always a decision of receiving institutions. Any student interested in transferring 4,5 ECTS credits to another college or university should check directly with the receiving institution.
