Cooperation programme for 2023-2026 signed

A representative delegation from the Siedlce University, with which the Baltic International Academy has long-standing friendly ties, visited our academy on a business visit. This famous Polish university was represented by its rector, professor Miroslaw Minkina, director of the Institute of Security Sciences, professor Stanislaw Topolewski, and vice-dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Radoslaw Kornets.

The guests met with the heads of the academy, study directions and programmes, got acquainted with the educational centres of the BIA, the collections of the Scientific Library and the student art gallery BiArt.

During an in-depth conversation with Polish friends, in which the BIA was represented by the chairman of the Senate Stanislav Buka, the acting rector Svetlana Smane, the vice-rector for international relations Inta Buka, the head of doctoral studies Tatyana Yurkevich, the head of the study direction “Jurisprudence” Irina Gaft, the director of the Scientific Library Natalya Gratkovskaya, a number of constructive proposals were made for the development of mutually beneficial ties.

Special attention was paid to the need to increase the number of joint projects. In particular, proposals to hold joint conferences, publish a joint scientific journal, introduce double diplomas, create a joint doctoral programme in law and hold joint summer schools found mutual support.

These and other proposals are reflected in the Cooperation Programme of the Baltic International Academy and the Siedlce University for 2023-2026, which was signed by the chairman of the BIA Senate Stanislav Buka and the rector of the Siedlce University Miroslaw Minkina.
