The Daugavpils branch of our Baltic International Academy has become a participant in the international project in the social sphere, in which there are also such participants as Augsdaugava Municipality and the Society of Social Assistance from Cechanow, the city in Masovian Voivodeship, Poland. A delegation of Polish social workers visited Daugavpils to discuss and sign a tripartite agreement.
This tripartite agreement was signed by the head of the Social Services of the Augsdaugava Municipality Anna Jegorova, the chairman of the Social Assistance Society of Cechanow Andzhey Dlugolentski, the director of the Daugavpils branch of the BIA Valentina Rumyantseva and the head of the BIA study direction “Social Welfare” Agrita Lujane. Representatives from the Latvian side received special certificates of international partners.
This project involves the exchange of experience in solving social problems, professional development of social workers, organisation of a summer school for Polish youth. It stipulates that students of the Daugavpils branch of the BIA will participate as trainees in these events.
