The personal exhibition of works by the famous photographer Vladimir Starkov at the student gallery BiArt aroused great interest among students and lecturers of our Baltic International Academy. He has long been known and respected at our academy. Exhibitions of his photographs have been held here several times. The BIA even created a special permanent exhibition of his works. He conducted a number of seminars here for students on the basics of photography. Starkov is always a welcome guest at events that take place at the academy, after that they are reflected in his photographs. He was deservedly awarded the silver Badge of Honour of the BIA.
The new exhibition is called “Don’t Pass By.” And it fully lives up to its name. As the curator of the student gallery, member of the Union of Artists of Latvia Valentin Danilenko noted at the opening of the exhibition, each work of the photographer surprises, makes you stop and look closely at the work, admire his ability to see the unusual in the ordinary.
Many visitors of this amazing exhibition agree with this opinion. It will last until November 5 and is open to visitors during the academy’s working hours.
