Young talents are appreciated at the BiArt gallery

The exhibition “Magic of Colour”, organised by the BiArt student gallery, aroused great interest among students, lecturers and guests of our Baltic International Academy. It presents around one hundred and fifty works of a wide variety of genres and subjects by beginner artists from the creative studio “Krāsu deja” (“Dance of Colours”), the head of which is the famous artist Maria Matveyeva. She is a longtime friend of our BiArt gallery and last year represented it at the exhibition at Siauliai State College.

The curator of the new exhibition at the BIA, the member of the Union of Artists of Latvia Valentin Danilenko thanked Maria Matveyeva for her active participation in the preparation and holding of the exhibition and noted that she works very creatively with young people. For example, the new exhibition presents three interesting works by young Emilia Tsine, who is only five years old.

Other young talents also deserve praise. Maybe not all of them will become great artists, but all of them, with the help of the studio, will get acquainted with the world of art. They have whom to take for example in the studio. This is convincingly evidenced by the works by Lolita Valanina, Iveta Kalnraya, Olga Jansen, Polina Orlova and other studio listeners of older generation presented at the exhibition.

The famous artist Valery Makovoy, who visited the “Magic of Color” exhibition, agrees with this. He noted that the exhibition presents many mature and interesting works.

The exhibition is located in the educational building of the BIA on 1/4 Lomonosova street and will last until the end of March. Admission is free during working hours of the academy.
