Among the foreign students who received diplomas of our Baltic International Academy of European standard in February, there was the student from China Wenhue Wei from the city of Chengdu, province of Sichuan. He successfully completed the master’s course in the programme “International Finance and Economics” and proved himself to be a capable and inquisitive student who, along with science, was interested in the culture and traditions of Latvia.
He still has many friends in Riga. In letters to them, he cordially thanks the lecturers of the Baltic International Academy for the significant knowledge in the field of international finance, which he acquired during his years of study at the BIA.
He especially notes the professional advice of the supervisor of his thesis, “The Impact of Renminbi Exchange Rate Fluctuations on Import-Export Trade between China and Eurozone Countries,” Associate Professor Jurijs Baltgailis. According to his supervisor, who has extensive experience in the banking sector, this thesis will help the BIA graduate take a worthy place in one of the Chinese banks, since it contains many valuable ideas and proposals.
