Our Baltic International Academy warmly and solemnly celebrated the 30th anniversary of the dance school and the dance ensemble “NATALI”. They are well known not only in Latvia, but also in Lithuania, Estonia, Italy, Norway, Slovakia, France, where they have many times demonstrated their dancing skills and were awarded various diplomas and prizes.
During 30 years, this school has prepared more than three hundred first-class dancers, including many BIA students, who, in parallel with their studies at the academy, also became familiar with the art of dance. The success of the ensemble “NATALI” is also significant. Its members have performed at about 500 concerts not only in Latvia, but also far beyond its borders.
These achievements are the undoubted merit of the founder and head, BIA graduate Natalya Siberga, who is not just a dance teacher, but also a talented choreographer and director. For her, the motto “We live – dancing, dancing – we live” is not just words. She not only dances artistically herself, but also skilfully conveys her love for the art of dance to young people. And it is no coincidence that her daughter Dominica, a former student of the BIA, has been dancing enthusiastically next to her for a decade and a half.
The Chairman of the BIA Senate Stanislav Buka highly appreciated the great contribution of Natalia Siberga to acquainting young people with the world of art. He congratulated the dance school and the ensemble “NATALI” on their anniversary, wished them new creative success and presented them with a painting with a bouquet of flowers.
The dance school and the dance ensemble were heartily congratulated by the head of the Uzbek Cultural Centre Alim Abdusaidov, the representative of the Slavic Society “Garmon” Galina Kapelyushnik, the coordinator of the Creative Association “Sozvezdie” Natalya Lysyakova, who in her speech noted that every concert of Natalia Siberga is a feast for the soul.
This was convincingly confirmed by the anniversary concert. It was a true extravaganza of original choreography, dances and songs in Latvian, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian and other languages. The audience was especially pleased with the performance of the original children’s choir from Riga School № 80, which was awarded with memorable souvenirs from the BIA.
In her speech, Natalya Siberga warmly thanked the Baltic International Academy and the Chairman of the Senate Stanislav Buka for selfless support of all initiatives of the dance school and ensemble “NATALI” and noted that such attention inspires and encourages to increase her contribution to acquainting young people to the world of art.
