According to Viktorija Petlak, the coordinator of the ERASMUS+ programme for international exchange of students and lecturers, guest lectures by scientists from foreign universities have become a common occurrence at our Baltic International Academy. And their choice is steadily growing. The BIA has already concluded 145 agreements on creative cooperation in this area. The demand for lectures by lecturers from our academy is also growing. This academic year, they have already delivered lectures in Poland, Lithuania, Turkey, and Georgia. And in May, Romania was added to these countries.
A guest lecture at the Faculty of International Relations of one of the largest universities in Romania - Universitatea din Oradea - was delivered by Doctor of Sociology, Associate Professor of the Baltic International Academy, head of the study direction “Sociology, Political Science and Anthropology” Vladislav Volkov. It is called “Philosophy and Sociology of Politics” and was met with interest by future Romanian political scientists.
Guest lecturer Vladislav Volkov was also pleased with his audience. After returning to the academy, he noted that the Romanian students demonstrated a good knowledge of the basics of political science and keen interest in Latvian foreign policy within the European Union.
During the visit, Vladislav Volkov, who is the Vice-Rector for Science of the BIA, had a detailed conversation with the heads and lecturers of the Faculty of International Relations of the Universitatea din Oradea about the development of scientific relations between higher education establishments.
