The guest lecture of researcher Hakki Halil Babacan from Erzincan Binali Yildirim University (Turkey), who also has the status of a certified forensic psychologist, aroused great interest among students and lecturers of the study direction “Psychology” of our Baltic International Academy. In the lecture, he convincingly analysed the use of big data and artificial intelligence in clinical psychology and illustrated scientific conclusions with examples from his professional practice.
The lecture materials became the basis for a fruitful discussion in which students and future psychologists took an active part. When summing up its results, Professor of the BIA, head of the study direction “Psychology” Irina Plotka thanked the guest for the informative and topical lecture and noted that it will encourage students to study more deeply the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in psychology.
After the lecture, the guest visited the Central Scientific Library of our Academy. Its director, Natalia Gratkovskaya, introduced him to the collections of scientific literature on problems of psychology and to electronic databases.
