The solo exhibition by the artist from China Li Šusjan aroused great interest among students, lecturers and guests of our Baltic International Academy. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the attache of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Fan Shengqiu. And this is not difficult to understand - the works of the guest from China are made on paper in the traditional national Chinese style. The title of the exhibition “Women are like flowers” also attracts attention, as it accurately conveys its content.
The curator of the exhibition organised at the BiArt student gallery, member of the Union of Artists of Latvia Valentin Danilenko noted at the opening that the new meeting with Chinese art is interesting not only for artists, but also for other lovers of oriental culture.
The artist thanked the Baltic International Academy for organising her solo exhibition and the opportunity to acquaint students and lecturers with the art of China. She noted that fine art is a bridge that connects people and hopes that her exhibition will make at least a small contribution to the development of friendly ties between the peoples of China and Latvia.
Lecturer of our academy Raimonds Rublovskis, who recently attended a seminar in China, noted in his speech that paintings speak louder than words and after this exhibition China will have even more friends in Latvia.
