Our Baltic International Academy has a good tradition of holding meetings with students of those secondary schools which are interested in getting acquainted with the specifics of the BIA. Recently, such a proposal was received from the Riga Secondary School “Anninmuizha”. Director of the study programme “Financial Management” Zhanna Chernoshtan, head of the study direction “Jurisprudence” Irina Gaft, Associate Professor of the BIA Andrey Surmach responded to it with pleasure.
At a convenient time for secondary school students, an informal and useful conversation took place in a businesslike and relaxed atmosphere about the career choice and the features of the BIA study programmes, the number of which is about three dozen. Andrey Surmach shared his opinion based on his personal experience on how to choose a career and make the right choice. Zhanna Chernoshtan outlined clearly the features of the profession of a financier in the era of the development of the digital economy. Irina Gaft described the attractiveness and complexity of the legal profession.
Secondary school students think that this meeting with reputable professionals was interesting and useful for them, as it deepened their understanding of the importance of the right career choice and the benefits of studying at the BIA.
