Study courses selection and approval

You should select with your study programme director the set of study courses you are going to attend during your exchange at the Academy based on our list of available study courses for the relevant term of studies.

It is crucially important, that the direction and level of the study programme in your Home University coincide with the direction and level of the study programme you have chosen for exchange at the Academy.

You should strictly observe the principle of correspondence between the study programmes!

Please note that a full study semester load in Latvia is 20 Latvian credit points or 30 ECTS, so you can choose and acquire at most 20 credit points (30 ECTS) for a study semester (6 months).

The preliminary list of study courses with the specified credit points should be included in your Individual Learning Agreement and submitted to your International Department for the subsequent approval by the Academy.

Please take into account that not all of your chosen study courses can be approved for the relevant study term and we may contact you and your International Department to adjust your Individual Learning Agreement, so keep in touch with your International Department and check your email until the final approval of your Individual Learning Agreement.

You and responsible persons on behalf of your Home University and the Academy should sign the approved Individual Learning Agreement. The signing of the Agreement may serve as a guarantee of credit points’ transfer after the successful completion of exchange based on the internal rules of credit transfer of your Home University.
