Graduates and future graduates of Latvian educational institutions, as well as researchers and academic staff, who wish to study for a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree or conduct research in Turkey, are invited to apply for Turkish Government scholarships.
Applicants should note that most programmes at Turkish universities are taught in Turkish. However, some universities and departments offer programmes in English or other languages, and candidates wishing to study these programmes must have an internationally recognised language certificate (TOEFL and other equivalent certificates). Most programmes require international entrance test scores such as GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.
To apply for a Bachelor's scholarship, applicants must be at least 21 years of age, for a Master's scholarship at least 30 years of age, for a Doctoral scholarship at least 35 years of age and for a Research scholarship at least 45 years of age.
The Turkish Scholarship Programme for Scholarship holders:
- provide an internship
- covers tuition fees
- allows you to learn Turkish in Year 1
- provides accommodation
- covers a single flight ticket
- covers health insurance
- provides a monthly scholarship of 1000 TL (~66 €) at Bachelor level, 1400 TL (~93 €) at Master level and 1800 TL (~120 €) at PhD level.
Applications for the scholarship for Bachelor and Master studies are open until 20 February 2022, for research - 4 times during 2022.
