This page is intended for our International students who plan to start studies as exchange students at Baltic International Academy (hereinafter, the Academy or BIA).
You can participate in the exchange programme if your university has concluded a General Cooperation Agreement or a Bilateral Exchange Agreement with our Academy.

Both agreements offer exchange opportunities and simplify your application to the programme. Bilateral Exchange Agreements provide more detailed terms and conditions if your Home University and the Academy choose to specify these in addition to the General Cooperation Agreement outlines only the potential for such exchanges, with terms and conditions negotiated and agreed on a case-by-case basis. The agreement may apply to all Academy study programmes or be limited to a specific level, field, or study programme. Please contact your University’s International Department for more information.
Bilateral exchange allows you to internationalise your degree. You can study part of your study programme, usually a semester or academic year, at BIA. Your total exchange period may not exceed an academic year within a study cycle. This is based on the signed General Cooperation Agreement or Bilateral Exchange Agreement between your University and the Academy, which typically includes tuition-free study at BIA.
However, you must continue to pay your tuition fees to your Home University. You are also responsible for other exchange-related expenses, including accommodation, travel, food, and insurance.
Participation in these exchange programmes enables students to earn and transfer European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits toward their degree requirements at their Home University. Students will not be required to extend their studies at their Home University or take additional courses after the exchange due to curriculum differences, provided the Individual Learning Agreement is completed carefully.
Both institutions’ International Departments are responsible for implementing, organising, and monitoring the exchange, with support from directors and deans of study programmes and fields, as well as from visa, accounting, and study departments.
The Academy offers a range of English-taught study programmes across various fields of study at different levels (Bachelor's or Master’s).
